About us

As a couple we have spent a huge part of our lives in Prague. We have been having a good time, studying and building our careers...

Martin - The professional piece of my heart is now mostly filled with Executive Chef function at Michelin Bib awarded restaurant Eska in Prague. My experiences are build on foundation of work for many restaurants ( for example La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise ) and chef competitions. Cooking means a really lot to me and it drives me through life on and on. I like cooking with wild herbs, unusual ingredients and old forgotten recipes from our grandmothers. The nature was so important and influential, so we decided to sell our Prague flat and we moved to country. The small amount of free time I use to create ceramics… Which again leads to food…

Marketa - Instead of diplomacy the fate and I decided to start studying gastronomy and hotel management and now I couldn´t imagine that I would choose different. After some experienes in different positions at many different restaurants I started to manage an Ambiente´s restaurant Pizza Nuova. Before the maternity leave I got some new knowlegde at hotel King´s Court Praha. Instead of career I decided to spend all possible time with children out of the city but then I realised that I couldn´t leave the restaurant enviroment and there has started the story of Venkoff pension.
